Restricted keys and keying systems can be the most simple and effective way to achieve control over who can and can’t gain access to a property. By using a registered design key and a suitably structured master key system, you will know where every key is at all times and be sure that they will not be duplicated without your consent.

There are two major classes of restricted key designs.

There are standard inline pinning systems which have a key blank that is legally protected from duplication by unauthorized people. These are generally suitable for most applications however they can still be opened by picking or manipulation.

There is also a range of high security key designs which will generally have a completely unique way of operating. Instead of the typical inline pin design, they may use rotating discs or multiple angled pins. These locks are virtually impossible to pick or manipulate and may carry an endorsement for use in select government applications.
